PPE Signs

Personal protective equipment (PPE) safety signs form part of our mandatory health and safety signs range. All these signs consist of a blue circle with a white pictogram and text panels of white text on a blue background. They are an integral part of building site safety and these personal protection signs aim to prescribe the use of equipment to prevent risks to health or safety in the workplace.

At Label Source, we’re part of the British Safety Industry Federation, meaning that we are officially recognised for supplying the most up to date health and safety products and guidelines.

Construction PPE signs include those that enforce eye protection at work, as well as PPE symbols that enforce protection for the head and reminders such as “must be worn beyond this point”. For more information, have a look at out blog on why proper workplace signage matters.

All the prohibition signs are produced to UK, EU and international standards ISO EN 7010 and the Safety Signs and Signals Regulations 1996.

What PPE Signs Do I Need?

Categories of personal protective equipment (PPE) safety signs include body protection signs (protective clothing, high visibility clothing, and laboratory coats), respiratory protection signs (respirators and dust masks), head protection signs (safety helmets and hairnets), foot protection signs (boots and anti-static footwear), eye protection signs (glasses, goggles and face shields) and hand protection signs (gloves).

You will need various personal protection signs depending on your business practice. If your business requires the use of specialised clothing, you should ensure there is plenty of obvious signage surrounding these kinds of clothing.

Consider the kinds of equipment that both staff and visitors will need in your business and ensure you’re meeting any health and safety legislation requirements.

You need personal protection signs for any situation that needs protective clothing, including eye protection signs, hand protection signs, foot protection signs, hard hat signs and more. There are many benefits to including adequate safety signage to ensure that people wear PPE, from general safety to the prevention of serious harm like hearing loss or exposure to chemicals.
