Gas Pipe Tapes

It's vitally important that every gas pipe is labelled, whether you're business is located on an industrial site or in an office, or public building, your gas pipes must be easily identifiable. To avoid any accidents or fatalities, it's crucial that the content and flow of each gas pipe is clearly marked and that it's visible to everyone what is inside of the pipe.

If your pipes are unlabelled and you're looking for some Gas Pipe Tapes, you'll be pleased to know that here at Label Source we sell an extensive range of Pipe Identification Tape, Pipeline Banding Tape and Flow Identification Tape, to ensure that your pipes clearly display the content and flow of each pipe that is on your site or office.

Here is some more information on each gas pipe tape we offer here at Label Source:

Pipe Identification Tape

These self-adhesive vinyl pipe indication tapes clearly display the content of pipe. All of our identification tapes are manufactured to BS1710 and BS4800 standards with the recommended colour schemes. These gas pipe tapes are suitable for internal use on pipes, drain valves, ducting, and flange joints. They're supplied in 33 metre rolls, with three different widths available. The operating temperature range of these tapes is -10°C to +50°C. For more information, or if you wish to purchase some pipe identification tape, please click here.

Pipeline Banding Tape

These tapes are made from non-adhesive vinyl and can be put in place by cable ties or by double-sided jointing tape. They come in roll sizes of 400mm wide by 25 metres in length. All tapes are colour coded and comply with BS4800 and BS1710. They're suitable for internal use, but any dust, dirt, or grease should be removed from the pipe before applying the tape. While most of the focus on renewable energy tends to concentrate on solar or wind powered generation, biomass could provide an effective and growing source of low carbon fuel to meet the targets set by the Renewable obligation for England, Wales and Scotland (effective 1/12/15) together with reductions in Greenhouse gases (GHG).

Whereas solar and wind power are reliant totally on suitable weather conditions, which in our climate can be uncertain, output from biomass generation can be controlled more effectively, thus producing more efficient use of resources.

Biomass is the use of plant, animal or vegetable residue for producing electricity (biogas), gas (bio-methane) and transport fuels (biofuels). This process of anaerobic digestion can include slurry, silage, manure, chicken litter, maize, straw, fish oil, apple pomace, cheese making waste and husks from cocoa, cashew, sunflower, and sugar beet etc. This creates green or lean carbon energy.

Apart from supplying the local demand for power, heat or fuel, from residues from agriculture, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, these resources can be used more widely. For example, bio-methane (the purified form of biogas on removal of carbon dioxide) can be connected to the gas grid. Also, biofuel can power compression and spark ignition engines, gas turbines, fuel cells and heating appliances.

Bio-fertilisers can be recovered in the form of digestate, to PAS110 standards, and can replace fossil fuel derived fertilisers. This is an environmentally sound and cost effective practice.

Label Source has worked with biomass generators in supplying ranges of pipeline tapes for marking component parts of the digester production process and storage plant, as well as a range of safety and operational signs for the industry.
