Our underground warning tapes are ideal for marking buried or sub-surface cables, as well as mains, ducts, sewers and pipelines. Warning tapes can prevent damage and injury during work and excavation; they should be installed near the surface to provide early warning of utility location, including those for gas, electricity, telecommunications and water services.
Our pipeline tape is manufactured from 50 micron (0.05mm thickness) virgin grade low-density polyethylene, and contains no PVC. The tapes comply with a number of standards, including: BS2782 for the testing of plastic materials; BS381C for colours; and BS3012 specification for low and intermediate density polythene. All underground warning tapes are resistant to acid and alkali in soil. They should be used in conjunction with National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG) guidelines on identification, positioning and colour coding of utilities, and Electricity Association Technical Specification 12/23.
These cable and pipeline tapes have large, bold text for easy readablity. If you need any advice before purchasing your underground warning tape, please don't hesitate to contact us.
